Merlin Tuition was founded by a highly sought-after teacher and tutor with extensive experience working at one of the UK’s most prestigious schools. As demand for his out-of-school tutoring grew he decided to create his own agency to help every child receive the support they deserve. Merlin Tuition was built to be different, sharing Merlin’s commitment to excellence and mission to raise standards in a largely unregulated industry. The objective: to take the impeccable standards and ethos of the very best British schools and apply them to personalised one-to-one sessions, inspiring learners of all ages to achieve truly remarkable results.
Our dedication to providing a high quality service begins with our rigorous vetting process for tutors. In an industry where background checks are not mandatory, we go beyond expectations to create a safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive. We DBS check and personally meet with each tutor that applies, undertaking a thorough screening and interview process to ensure they meet our high standards of experience and proficiency. However, our dedication does not stop at recruitment: we also offer yearly training to our tutors which keeps them up to date with changes in UK protocols and guidelines for best practice. We are proud members of The Tutors’ Association, and our recruitment process is modelled on best practice in British schools to ensure the best possible experience for your family.
